Mysuru: S. Shivakumar has been awarded Ph.D degree in Education by the University of Mysore (UoM) for his thesis “A study of Juvenile delinquents Educational status, Psycho-Social factors and need for guidance.” He worked under the guidance of Dr. N. N. Prahallada, former Associate Professor in Education, RIE, Mysore.
S.Bhuvaneshwari, a multifaceted talent from Mysuru, has been awarded Ph.D in Dance by Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalay, Chhattisgarh, for her thesis “Folk dances of South Karnataka - An analytical study”. The thesis speaks nuances of over 100 folk dances of South Karnataka and India, Gestures and Movements in Folk Dances and Bharatanatyam and Classical ragas used in folk songs.
