Mysuru: Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. Shivalingaiah has said that the Open University hopes to admit 30,000 students for its 17 courses that are granted permission by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Speaking to SOM, the VC said that the KSOU issued notification for admission to the courses on Aug.27, setting Oct.1 deadline for admission. Following the notification, the regional centres of the KSOU are flooded with applications and queries and it is expected that 30,000 students may get admitted this year, he said.
