Mysore/Mysuru: The building of the MCC Zone-1 Office near Agrahara has been demolished on Tuesday and a park will come up in the land where the building stood.
A building to be used as a library was built in 1994 in the place that was meant for park, at Thyagaraja 5th cross coming under MCC Ward No. 51. But the library never opened. Later, the building was extended and the MCC Zone - 1 Office began to function since then. As days passed by, play equipment such as see-saw, swing etc. provided for children in the proposed park started disappearing and the place resembled a deserted field. Though the citizens protested against the stealing of sporting equipment, it was of no use.
