As the taluk’s Maidanahalli Primary Agricultural Credit Co-operative Society has ceased to function, the Co-operation Department has appointed B. Raju as Liquidation Officer of the Society. Although years have passed since the Liquidation Order was issued, it is found that no efforts have been made either by the Society members or other members of the public, for reviving the Society. As such, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies has decided to cancel Registration of the Society. However, the Society members or other members of the public who still have interest in reviving the Society, can file objections, if any, in writing, within 15 days. The Co-operation Department will go ahead with the cancellation of Registration and any objections received after the 15-day deadline will not be considered, according to a press release from the Liquidation Officer.
