Subsequent to the Prime Minister’s call for a ‘Janata Curfew’(People’s Curfew) tomorrow (Mar. 22), as part of the Government’s efforts to stop the spread of the deadly COVID-19, the Railways will halt operation of all trains across the country for 24 hours starting from today midnight. In a press release, the Railway Department said trains will stop at whichever station they arrive on midnight of today. The passengers are required to stay put in their trains. The Railways will provide them drinking water and sanitation facilities and will also be served food. Passengers who require medical attention will be taken care of at the expense of the Railways, the release said.
