Mysore/Mysuru: The Antharasanthe Police have issued a public advisory urging citizens and tourists to avoid partying at the Kabini backwaters during the New Year celebrations. The area has been declared sensitive and unauthorised entry is prohibited.
The Police have cautioned against swimming, consuming alcohol, reckless driving into the water, using loudspeakers, engaging in unlawful activities and installing makeshift platforms or tanks in the backwater zone. Such actions pose serious risks and will invite strict legal consequences.
The Police emphasised that these measures are intended to prevent accidents and ensure public safety, keeping in mind Kabini’s ecological sensitivity.
