Bengaluru: Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said that first year MBBS students, who fail in even a single subject, will not be allowed entry to the second year.

Replying to a query by MLA Subbareddy during Question Hour in the Assembly yesterday, the Minister said this rule is framed by Medical Council of India and all Medical Colleges have to follow this. However, the Minister clarified that carry over system applies to second, third and fourth year students.
