SWR, has in a press release, clarified that the restoration work has been completed. Train services on affected section have resumed and are now running as per their scheduled timings.

Mysuru, Feb. 18 (PM&DM)- The derailment of a wagon of an NMG (New Modified Goods) train between Bidadi and Ramanagara on Bengaluru-Mysuru section disrupted schedules of several trains on the route at about 5 pm on Tuesday evening.

Due to the derailment, several trains running between Mysuru and Bengaluru were cancelled/ partially cancelled or rescheduled.

Train No. 16216 (KSR Bengaluru - Mysuru Express), Journey Commencing On (JCO) 17.2.2026, was rescheduled to depart from KSR Bengaluru at 19.25 hrs instead of its scheduled departure at 18.25 hrs.

Cancellation of trains

1. Train No. 06525 (KSR Bengaluru - Ashokapuram), JCO 17.2.2026, was short-terminated at Kengeri, resulting in partial cancellation between Kengeri and Ashokapuram.

2. Train No. 06526 (Ashokapuram - KSR Bengaluru), JCO 17.2.2026, was cancelled from Ashokapuram.

3. Train No. 66553 (KSR Bengaluru - Ashokapuram), JCO 17.2.2026, scheduled to depart at 19.00 hrs, was cancelled.

4. Train No. 66580 (Ashokapuram - KSR Bengaluru), JCO 17.2.2026, scheduled to depart at 23.00 hrs, was cancelled.
