New AC coach for Tirupati Express

Mysuru: The South Western Railway is introducing one 3-AC compartment in Train No. 16219 Chamarajanagar-Tirupati Daily Express from Sept.3. In the return direction, the 3-AC service will be available from Sept.4. The fares from Chamarajanagar to Tirupati costs Rs 845 for adults, Rs.525 for senior citizen (male) and Rs.445 for senior citizen (female). The fare for adult from Mysuru to Tirupati is Rs. 745, for senior citizens (male) Rs.465 and senior citizens (female) Rs.395. As the Chamarajanagar-Tirupati-Chamarajanagar daily express is patronised by pilgrims in large numbers, especially senior citizens, the issue of providing air conditioned service was under the consideration of the Railways. Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru, Aparna Garg, took the initiative for introducing air conditioned service in these trains as it was essential to enhance passenger convenience, according to a press release from S.G.Yatish, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru.
