Mysuru: Maintaining that Jawaharlal Nehru was a votary of communism, veteran writer and Saraswathi Samman awardee Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa has said that Jawaharlal Nehru became the Prime Minister only because of Mahatma Gandhi. He was speaking at the valedictory of the two-day 2nd State-level Sammelana of Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad at Senate Bhavan in Manasagangotri here yesterday.
Stating that Nehru was inspired by Communist Movements at the time when he was studying at Cambridge University, Dr. Bhyrappa said that Nehru makes no mention of Russian Dictator Stalin in his works, writings or speeches and this was only because of his (Nehru) communist mindset.
