Mysuru: Nayaka community members staged a demonstration in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here recently urging the State Government to increase ST reservation to 7.5 percent to maintain parity with the Central Government quota.
Pointing out that the Central Government has accorded 7.5 percent reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities in jobs and education, the protesters claimed that the ST communities were not getting 7.5 percent reservation in the State, which is a grave injustice to them.
