Mysuru: Narayana Multispecialty Hospital (NMH), Mysuru, has launched an advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinic. The clinic was inaugurated by Dr.Naresh Bhat, President, Indian Society of Gastroenterologists Association. IBD is the term used to describe disorders that involves chronic inflammation of digestive tract. Types of IBD are ulcerative colitis and Chron’s disease. In both diseases there are ulcers in the lining of intestine, resulting in severe diarrhoea with blood, abdominal pain, fatigue, weight loss and anaemia. Sometimes it can cause life threatening complications. Aim of this clinic is to educate the patients, help them to get investigation and treatment with subsided cost. Rotary Vijayanagar Mysore is helping economically weaker patients avail this clinic.
