Jayalakshmi (60), wife of senior journalist Echanur Kumar and a resident of Kuvempunagar, passed away here yesterday. Jayalakshmi, who was suffering from back pain, went to a hospital when she collapsed and died, it is learnt. She leaves behind husband, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.
