Mysuru: The Food and Cake festival which began yesterday at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry here attracted people from all backgrounds and different age groups as Mysureans were in for a treat with several delicacies and various food items being sold at the premises. District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa inaugurated the three-day cake festival jointly organised by the District Administration, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Department, Tourism Department, Mysore Palace Board, Mysuru District Hotels and Restaurants Association, Bakery Owners Association and Mysuru Travels Association. Some of the well-known bakers and sweets-makers in city including Aroma, Dolphin, Regal Bakers, Master Bakers, Sri Mahalakshmi Sweets, Sweet Palace Cafe, Nandini Sweets and others through their specialities introduced the varieties of cakes and sweets to the connoisseurs.
