Mysuru: Even as the MCC is grappling to find a long-lasting solution for solid waste management and disposal, the Mysuru Taluk Panchayat has proposed to set up waste disposal units on Mangaluru model.
The Mysuru Taluk Panchayat has planned to set up the units at CA sites and Gramthana sites that are available in 37 Gram Panchayats of the taluk at a cost of Rs.20 lakh each. The plants will come up on sites measuring 80’x80’, where 21 types of solid wastes generated in villages will be segregated.
