Mysore/Mysuru: Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT), Mysuru, had organised a two-day sports and cultural meet recently to mark the celebration of this year’s National Sports Day (Birth Anniversary of Hockey Wizard Dhyan Chand - Aug. 29).
The event was inaugurated by two of the renowned women cricketers of the State, Rakshitha Krishnappa, the State’s Captain and S. Shubha, by watering the sapling. The two cricketers were felicitated by Principal Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar, Secretary Dr. T. Vasudev and President Dr. S. Murali during the inaugural programme.
