He alleged that thousands of sites were looted in the MUDA scam, with former CM Siddaramaiah’s family among the chief beneficiaries. Under pressure, Siddaramaiah’s family was forced to return 14 sites to MUDA.

Ashwath Narayan said the accused officials and the former CM’s family continue to face trial in Court, while Congress Government, instead of reclaiming thousands of allegedly looted sites, was embarrassed defending the culprits. “This is a victory for Opposition’s struggle,” he said.

He accused the Govt. of shielding former MUDA Commissioner Dr. Natesh, who allegedly made illegal allotments, to protect Siddaramaiah from further legal trouble. He said that since Siddaramaiah’s name is directly linked to the scam, his son, UD Minister Dr. Yathindra, had no moral right to continue in the Cabinet or as Leader of the Legislative Council.
