Mysuru: Thimmaiah Napanda Poovaiah, Managing Director and CEO, Meritor India & Automotive Axles, Hootagalli Industrial Area, Mysuru, was recently conferred Doctor of Excellence (Honoris Causa) by Confederation of International Accreditation Commission (CIAC) global body in affiliation with KEISIE International University, South Korea, which also bestowed Thimmaiah with degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Management. The award was given in recognition of Thimmaiah’s outstanding contribution in the field of Management, towards the society and the country at large. The honour and title was conferred on him by Founder- President of CIAC Dr. Sir G.D. Singh and Dr. Neetu Singh, Secretary-General, CIAC, recently at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai.
With over 25 years of experience in Automotive Industry at various capacities, Thimmaiah is currently MD & CEO of Meritor Group in India which includes JV, Automotive Axles, Mysuru. Prior to Meritor and Automotive Axles, he was MD at Honeywell Turbo Technologies India.
