Mysore/Mysuru: As a tribute to late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, the University of Mysore (UoM) will be conferring Honorary Doctorate award — Honoris Causa (D.Sc) — posthumously on Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly called Appu and ‘Power Star’, at its 102nd Convocation to take place on Mar. 22.
Announcing this at a press meet at Crawford Hall this morning, UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar said that two other dignitaries too will be conferred the Hon. Doctorate award — former Director General of DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation Dr. V.K. Aatre ( Dr. Vasudev Kalkunte Aatre) and 63-year-old renowned folk singer of the State M. Mahadevaswamy.
