Mysuru: It was just about one-and-a-half months ago that the administration and classes of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University was shifted to the building of Muktagangothri (KSOU) near Mandakalli. However, it has again been shifted back to the old school building in Lakshmipuram.
Following the students' protest that the old building in Lakshmipuram lacked basic facilities, Higher Education Minister G.T. Devegowda had directed the Music University to shift to Muktagangothri building near Mandakalli on Sept.9 and it was shifted on Oct.15. But after the end of the academic year, it has been moved back to Lakshmipuram. Exams will be held here itself, said sources in the Music Varsity.
