Mysuru: The Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) presented Rs. 2.76 crore surplus Budget for the financial year 2017-18.
MUDA Commissioner Dr. M. Mahesh, presenting the Budget, said that MUDA had expected revenue of Rs. 500 crore during the current fiscal and has estimated the expenditure to be Rs. 497.23 crore. He added that the MUDA would be earning revenues through: Allotment of HUDCO Houses (Rs. 35 crore), Rs. 140 crore from allotment of sites at RT Nagar (1,764 sites) and Lalithadripura 1st Stage (545 sites), Rs. 200 crore through auction of corner and intermediate sites, Rs. 1 crore from self residential projects, Rs. 5 crore through auction of MUDA houses, Rs. 30 crore through auction of CA sites, Rs. 5 crore from development and supervision of private layouts, Rs. 30 crore from City Development Planning Department and Rs. 85.35 crore from other sources including rent from commercial buildings, interest of fixed deposits, rent from convention hall among others.
