Mysuru: Former KSOU Vice-Chancellor Dr. N.S. Ramegowda said that higher education is undergoing a transformation in the State with more number of University affiliated Educational Institutions set to become autonomous in the next 10 years. He was speaking after inaugurating the programme organised by M.K. Ramaswamy Sneha Balaga to honour Prof. M.K. Ramaswamy, a former Principal of Maharaja’s PU College and Science writer, at Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road in city recently.
Noting that in the past there were only a few State-run Universities, Prof. Ramegowda said, now things are changing fast, with several private and deemed Universities coming up, thus expanding the scope of higher education.
