Mysuru: In his reaction to Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent statement during which the Congress President had taken a dig at Home Minister Amit Shah stating that Shah’s “dip in Ganga won’t remove poverty,” BJP MLC C.T. Ravi said that such statements were unwelcoming and added that it was a matter of religious beliefs.
The MLC was speaking to media persons en route to Suttur Srikshetra in Nanjangud here this morning. “People travelling to Kumbh Mela are spending their own money and not the money released by the Government. While the Government has been releasing funds for Haj pilgrimage, is it helping in eradicating poverty?” he questioned.
