Bengaluru: A group of pro-Kannada activists allegedly vandalised Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait’s official residence on Palace Road in Bengaluru this morning. They damaged ornamental flower pots and broke some chairs and windows accusing the State Government of colluding with private school managements in collecting exorbitant fees from parents.
The protesters alleged that private schools were violating the rules framed by the State Government in collecting fees and were fleecing parents in the name of books, uniforms and shoes. They said that despite being informed about the matter, the Government had failed to take action against such institutions.
