Mysore/Mysuru: The annual migration of birds to Mysuru in winter has been delayed this time and birds are still coming even after the general migration period ends in December and January. These birds roost in the water bodies in and around Mysuru and they stay here till the summer sets in.
Describing this year’s migration pattern, Rajkumar D. Urs of Wildlife Conservation Foundation told Star of Mysore that due to climate change, three cyclones have hit the southern peninsula in the last two months and there has been continuous rains.
