Mysuru: Cholanda Varun Ganapathy, originally from Kalmotte in Virajpet and an alumnus of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Mysuru, has secured AIR 14 (All India Ranking) in the recently announced merit list to secure admission to Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, for Course Serial SSC (NT) - 110.
His training will commence in October 2019 and on successful completion of training, he will get commissioned as a Lieutenant in September 2020. OTA Chennai trains officers for Short Service Commission (SSC). The 49-week course at the OTA prepares graduates for all branches of the Army, except for the Army Medical Corps. The OTA Chennai was established in 1963.
