India has done it. Third time lucky. Chandrayaan-3, the Moon Mission of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) has successfully landed on the designated spot on the moon’s South Pole. It is an achievement attempted but not achieved by any other country in the world. As if to mock Russia, a pioneer in space research and technology, India’s Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the moon days after Russian Luna-25 spacecraft crashed into the surface of the moon during preparations to attempt a landing at the lunar South Pole.
