Bengaluru: The Karnataka Media Academy announced the list of 40 journalists including two from Mysuru who have been selected for this year’s Media Academy Awards. Senior Photojournalist Anurag Basavaraj and Vijayavani Senior Reporter Shivanna of Mysuru have been selected for the award which carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 each and a citation. CM Siddharamaiah will present the awards shortly. Senior Reporter from Madikeri, Ajjamada Ramesh Kuttappa (Vijayavani) is among the awardees. The Academy also announced the name of Dr. Baraguru Ramachandrappa for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Mookanayaka Award, ‘Nagaravani’ for the Best District Newspaper and K.M. Veeresh for Best Cine Reporter Awards.
