Mysuru: “There is no need to have low self esteem while speaking in Kannada language,” opined senior litterateur Prof. K. Narahari.
Speaking after inaugurating Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations organised by Ramakrishna Vidyashala in the city yesterday, he said “ Now-a-days, we are using 70 percent English words in our day-to-day conversations. Currently, more emphasis is unduly laid on information-oriented education and we are neglecting value education. Spiritual, moral and social values which form part of our culture should be learned and practiced.”
