MDFA 'B' Division Football League 2017: Soniya, Bravers FC settle for a draw

The MDFA 'B' Division Football League Group 'A' tie for the Govindaraju Memorial Trophy between Soniya FC and Bravers FC ended in a 1-1 draw at the University Football Ground here yesterday. Both the teams earned a point each in the drawn tie. Soniya FC went into the lead through a solo goal from left-in Fahad in the 12th minute. Bravers FC equalised through a goal by right-out Aravind in the 28th minute. At half time both the teams were level 1-1. The second half saw both the teams trying hard for scoring the winning goal, but chances were lost with both the team's forwards shooting off the target. At the final whistle both the teams were level 1-1 and the match ended in a draw. Earlier the league was inaugurated by Dept. of Physical Education, UoM, In-charge Director,  Dr. P. Krishniah.
