Mysore/Mysuru: As a result of nationwide lockdown that brought the transport system to a standstill, among the severely affected included the auto drivers. A couple of Auto Drivers Associations had submitted a request to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to help the needy members of their Associations who were finding it very hard to eke out a living.
Responding to their plea, the MCC distributed grocery kits to 220 needy auto drivers of Mysuru Autorickshaw Drivers Association (total 535 members) at the CADA premises and 160 members of Ashokpuram Adikarnataka Auto Drivers and Owners Association (total 300 members) at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Park premises in Ashokapuram.
