Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has extended last date for payment of property tax with 5 percent rebate up to July 31. The State Government had given time till June 30 for the payment of property tax in view of strict lockdown in city due to Corona crisis. Now, it has been further extended till July 31 and with 5 percent rebate, said G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, Commissioner, MCC. He said the Corporation had introduced online payment of property tax to avoid people from coming to office personally for the payment of tax which may trigger Corona positive cases. Now, most of the citizens were paying tax online. With further extension in time, more and more people will come forward to pay tax voluntarily, he added.
