Mysuru: As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan-2020, which will be held in January, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs had issued certain guidelines to be followed. These guidelines were aimed at enhancing cleanliness in city areas and also encourage public participation in Swachata Abhiyan.
In an effort to encourage public participation and create awareness about cleanliness, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) had organised various competitions in six categories. The winners of these competitions were distributed certificates at a ceremony organised at Old Council Hall of Mysuru City Corporation on Dec. 26. There was competition among hotels, business establishments, Residents Welfare Associations, market associations, hospitals, schools and government offices.
