Mandya: Barring minor incidents of poll clash in few pockets, brisk and peaceful polling was reported in all the 2,046 polling booths in the high-voltage Mandya constituency due to the contest of high-profile candidates, from this morning.
The constituency, which has eight Assembly segments, recorded 80.23 percent of voting by 8 pm. According to Assembly segment-wise, Malavalli registered 76.88 percentage, Maddur - 82.33%, Mandya - 74.80%, Srirangapatna - 81.91%, K.R. Pet- 80.20%, Nagamangala - 81.47%, Melukote - 86.54% and K.R. Nagar - 79.31%.
