Mandya: ‘To celebrate Dasara festival in a methodical way at Srirangapatna which has a rich historical background, the officers concerned should gear up the preparations now’ said Mandya DC N. Manjushri.
Chairing a meeting on that context at ZP office here recently, Manjushri said that Srirangapatna Dasara will be held from Oct.16 to 18 and added that Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and other dignitaries would participate in the inaugural function. She asked the officials to add more grandeur for the Dasara procession by including tableaux of 10 departments along with an array of folk troupes.
