Mysuru: The Third Additional Sessions Court has sentenced a person to four years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) along with a fine of Rs. 20,000, for assaulting a person. The accused is Anil, while the victim is Chowdappa, a resident of Kodluru village in Hunsur. Following a complaint, Hunsur Rural SIs H.S. Lingaraju and K.M. Rafiq, who conducted investigation, had submitted a charge-sheet against the accused to the Court. Judge S. Surendranath, who heard the arguments, found Anil guilty of the crime and pronounced the verdict. Special Court Public Prosecutor V.M. Angadi argued on behalf of the Government.
