Mysuru: A man who was being treated at a city hospital, after he consumed poison, died on Saturday. Syed Afzal (48), a resident of Udayagiri, is the deceased.
Afzal was said to be depressed after being humiliated by money-lenders for failing to repay the loans he had borrowed. Afzal, who went to his mother-in-law’s house in N.R. Mohalla on Wednesday night, is said to have consumed poison, following which he was rushed to a private hospital. But he breathed his last on Saturday afternoon, according to N.R. Police who have registered a case.
