Mahisha Dasara: Prohibitory orders clamped till 6 am tomorrow

The City Police have clamped prohibitory orders under Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), effective from yesterday midnight, in the wake of Mahisha Dasara celebrations today, in the City Police Commissionerate limits. The prohibitory orders is in place from Sept. 28 midnight to 6 am of tomorrow (Sept. 30).

According to the notification issued by City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, except within Town Hall premises, the prohibitory orders is applicable at Chamundi Hill. The processions, rallies, raising slogans for and against, bursting of crackers, gathering of five and more persons, using sound equipment, procession of idols, are the other restrictions issued, adds the notification from City Police Chief.
