The Kannada and Culture Department, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Madiwala Machideva Jayantyotsava Samiti have jointly organised Madiwala Machideva Jayanti celebrations at Kalamandira in city on Feb. 1 at 10.30 am. District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the event. MLA K. Harishgowda will preside. Chitradurga Mutt’s Basava Machideva Swamiji will grace the occasion. Bengaluru’s Sharana Pravachanakara Yedeyur Mudalagiri will deliver a lecture on the occasion. Earlier, a procession will be taken out from Sri Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to the venue at 9 am.
