Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Traffic Police, who have registered 43 cases against those flouting COVID-19 lockdown rules by moving around unnecessarily, have collected a total of Rs. 78,000 fine in a single day on Wednesday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sandesh Kumar said that as Mysuru City is in the Red Zone, the lockdown has been extended with a few relaxations. Though movement of public in their vehicles for purchase of essential commodities is permitted till 12 noon, the public were seen moving around in their vehicles after 12 noon thus violating the lockdown order.
