Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. N.G. Malleshi, retired Sr. Scientist and Head, Department of Grain Sci and Tech, CFTRI, Mysuru, has been bestowed with the Poshak Anaj (Lifetime Achievement) Award by the ICAR-IIMR at the recently held "Nutri-Cereals Multi-Stakeholders Mega Convention" in Hyderabad in recognition of his contribution to Millets.
He has been continuously engaged in R & D activities on Millets (Sorghum (Jowar), Pearl millet (Bajra/Sajje), Finger millet (Ragi) and other small millets namely, Foxtail (Navane), Little (Same), Kodo (Varagu/Arka), Proso (Panivaragu/Baragu), Barnyard (Udalu) and Browntop (Korale) Millets.
