Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly opposing the Government’s alleged plans on privatising the giant General Insurance Company, LIC (Life Insurance Corporation) of India, employees staged a demonstration during lunch break in front of LIC’s Divisional Office at Millennium Circle on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road yesterday.
Terming the Government’s idea that 'listing the LIC in the Share Market will bring transparency' as unscientific, the employees maintained that the LIC was functioning in a transparent manner right from the beginning and there was no need for it to be listed in the Share Market.
