Mysore/Mysuru: 'Librarians Day' will be celebrated at the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, tomorrow (Aug. 9) at 11 am.
Librarians Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan who is known as the ‘Father of the Library Movement in India.’ It is an annual celebration that pays tribute to the invaluable contributions made by librarians and information professionals in fostering knowledge dissemination and academic excellence. It also serves as an occasion to reflect on the evolving role of libraries in the digital era.
