DG & IGP Dr. Saleem takes cop-friendly decision

Mysore/Mysuru: Henceforth Policemen irrespective of cadre can spend some quality time with their near and dear ones on their birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

DG and IGP Dr. M.A. Saleem has issued a circular to all the Police Commissioners, Superintendents of Police (SPs) and unit heads of Police in the State yesterday, to sanction leave for Police personnel to celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries.

Dr. Saleem has opined that it is important to celebrate personal moments, especially for the Police who work hard amid critical conditions, to maintain law and order in the interest of public. By obtaining leave, the Police personnel can feel rejuvenated and spend quality time with their family members, to maintain work life balance. Their confidence level will increase and the stress will reduce, he observed.

Such human friendly initiatives will not just help in recognising their sacrifices, but also boost their sincerity in work. The capability of Police force will strengthen further and builds better discipline and capacity in service, Dr. Saleem added.
