Bengaluru: Karnataka’s farmer leader Kuruburu Shanthakumar, who was being treated at a hospital in Punjab, after he sustained serious injuries in a car accident near Patiala, was airlifted to a Bengaluru hospital on Sunday.
Shanthakumar, who sustained injuries in a car accident, was rushed to a hospital in Patiala on Friday when the car in which he was travelling crashed into a road divider near Patiala in Punjab. But following the intervention of CM Siddaramaiah and Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna, Shanthakumar was airlifted in an air ambulance to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru on Sunday, where he is undergoing higher treatment, it is learnt.
