Stating that the de-silting and other development works have been taken up at Kukkarahalli Lake without causing any damage to the environment, University of Mysore Registrar Prof. R. Rajanna has maintained that the ongoing works have public support.
Pointing out that the then DC had convened a meeting of environmentalists and officials on Mar.11, 2016, after apprehensions were raised that some members of the public and environmentalists may pose a hurdle to the works, Prof. Rajanna said that the meeting saw support from all quarters following which the works were taken up.
