Mysuru: Accusing the managements of State-run Transport Corporations of defaulting on providing statutory benefits to employees, the KSRTC Staff and Workers Federation has urged the Government to implement the recommendations of PGR Sindhia Committee on Restructure and Reforms.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here on Monday, Federation President H.V. Ananthasubbarao claimed that the Managements were showing scant regard for the benefits that are due to the staff and workers. Maintaining that Transport Minister B. Sriramulu had failed to keep his promise on reinstating 4,000 employees who were sacked during the Statewide Transport stir that took place in April last, he charged the BMTC of being apathetic to the plight of sacked employees.
