The tenure of the city-based Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar has been extended by a year, 10 days before he was due to demit office. Prof. Vidyashankar’s three-year tenure as KSOU VC was to end on May 29. But now, the Governor, who is the Chancellor of all State-run Universities, has issued an order extending his term by an year.
