Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning the Centre’s reported move to privatise public sector power transmission and distribution companies, the employees and officers of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) staged a symbolic demonstration by wearing black arm bands, in front of CESC Office on Sri Harsha Road in city yesterday.
Accusing the Centre of fast tracking privatisation of public sector power companies which are doing well despite all odds, the protesters claimed that privatisation will do a great harm for the poor and the farming community.
