Dallas (USA): Traditions capture the essence of a culture, creating a bridge between generations for elders to pass on these traditions to the youth. Keeping this in mind, Kodavas of United States of America (USA) hold an annual convention to honour such traditions, attracting Kodavas from across the globe. These conventions are typically hosted in a different places each year, with the 2017 convention being hosted by the Dallas Kodavas in Grapevine, Texas on Sept. 2 and 3.
The Dallas Kodavas are represented by approximately 25 families who have elected to blend East and West cultures by presenting this year’s convention with a unique Texan flair. The group has been very active with social media promotions that include artwork from their very own Kodavas, making this a much talked about event. The current number of registrants has crossed three hundred, projecting this to be the largest convention, so far.
